The Modern Man

Hi reader,

Welcome to the Modern Man newsletter
The place where you can learn to be the best man you possibly can be.

This week we’re diving into something that when we can live with this mindset, we develop a much higher level of psychological stability.

CONTROL

A lot of our suffering stems from trying to change things we can’t control. Men that initially come to me sometimes feel like they’re spinning on hamster wheel because they’ve tried to get a result like…

Changing their body composition.

Develop better relationships.

Improving their mental health.

But they keep coming to a dead end. Why?

A lot of the time they’re trying to control things which are out of their control…

1. Other people.

We can have influence for sure but never control.

2. Human biology.

Often we fight physiology, expect a certain result without looking at all the inputs we’re giving it.

First place to look. The fundamentals (eating, moving, sleeping & breathing)

3. Their thoughts.

It’s simple we cannot control our thoughts. Only our response and perception of those thoughts.

We recently went through an exercise inside the Modern Man programme which allowed the Men to reflect and assess where in their life they actually had control.

Where they may have been trying to control things out-width of their true control. Creating friction, frustration and draining energy.

I’m telling you now that if you read this email and do nothing, nothing really changes. If you implement what I’ve given you the action will create a reaction in your mind and in your life.

So if you’ve got 5 minutes, draw out those spheres of control and assess where you’re currently at..

If you feel like you need support, I’d love to connect with you on this.
